Remediation of Clandestine Laboratory Residues Course

Description

The first of its kind to be held in Australia, this course will teach restorers how to safely and appropriately decontaminate properties that have once housed clandestine methamphetamine laboratories, or 'meth labs'.

With a strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety and Personal Protective Equipment, this 2-day course will teach restorers about the risks that meth labs pose to the wider community, the different issues which may arise from the production of methamphetamine, the proper methods of remediation and will have a strong focus on hands-on learning.

Jena Dyco Instructor Charlie Lodge brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his extensive training in the field as well as his hands-on experience, having remediated more than 30 meth labs himself in New Zealand. Charlie will teach the course in collaboration with industrial chemist and analyst Dr Nick Powell. Dr Powell has extensive experience in testing and remediating clandestine laboratories and is well known as a leading expert in the field.
