Recommendation: We recommend completion of IICRC Water Damage Course before attending IICRC Carpet Repairs and Reinstallation Course.

Please note: This is not a substitute for Carpet Laying Apprenticeship - this course will give you the basic skills for working with second hand and wet carpets.

The IICRC 3 day Carpet Repairs and Reinstallation course is great for experienced professionals who want to offer repairs and reinstallation services to their customers as well as those already repairing and relaying second hand and water damaged carpet but have not done any formal training. This course will give you a thorough understanding of carpet construction and installation techniques, best practice procedures for completing jobs and great amount of hands on experience. You will learn correct procedures on how to properly remove second hand and wet carpet without destroying it and then reinstall it properly. You will also learn how to repair seams, get rid of bubbles and buckles, make burns or pulled rows in berber look like they never existed and repair metal strips. All techniques are in line with Australian, New Zealand and International Standards.

Felix Krivitsky, the course instructor, is a very experienced Carpet Repairer and Installer. He will teach you hands on techniques that you can go and implement in your work as soon as you leave the course. This is not a sit down and learn course so expect to spend most of the course on your hands and knees!

After passing the optional IICRC exam at the end of the course participants will become IICRC Certified Repair and Reinstallation Technician.

IICRC Course Recognition:
If you want to receive IICRC recognition for the course there is an optional IICRC multiple choice exam at the end of the course.
The cost is $70 payable directly to IICRC via credit card at the time of the exam.
