Description
Registration prerequisite: Health & Safety course; Remediation of Clandestine Lab residues course
The Clandestine Lab Testing & Analysis course is designed for technicians and occupational hygienists looking to work in clan lab forensic testing or to further their knowledge of clandestine lab contamination for remediation purposes. Students will walk away from this course with a specialised knowledge of the chemistry of methamphetamine, clandestine lab contamination and how to analyse and interpret results to formulate a remediation action plan (RAP).
Topics covered in this course:
- the chemistry of methamphetamine
- contaminants and their distribution at clandestine labs
- health & environmental issues related to methamphetamine manufacture
- assessing a dwelling using swabs
- interpreting results and formulating a remediation action plan
